Salmon River Brewery is a unique little place. Very comfy and cheerful (and some of the cleanest bathrooms I've been in). The service was pretty slow but I'm not marking them down for that. It was the 4th of July weekend and they were really hopping. KnitTech tried the Smoked Salmon club:

We both felt that the smoked salmon was pretty dry and flavorless. Not gonna recommend this one.
I tried the 2 brat meal:

One was the "Lava" brat. They are serious with that name. Super spicy.. It was great going down.. Not so great that night. I'm still recommending it. The other was the smoked bacon brat. WOW! Incredible. Highly recommended.
While there I had to try some of the beers. The first was the Udaho Gold. A very lightly hopped amber. Super good and we ended up getting a growler of it to take home. Alas I didn't get a picture. The 2nd I tried was the Bramble. Another amber with a higher hop content:

I didn't find it as good as the Udaho gold but not bad either.
On the way home KnitTech spotted a field of Daisy s. Knowing how much mom likes them we stopped and snapped some pictures.
Sunday was the Fourth and perhaps one of my favorite holidays. We had the Clan, the E's, and one of Perky/Kommandants friends over (along with Perky and Kommandant). We offered to provide food if they provided fireworks. They accepted the trade. I cooked up some "Trencher" sandwiches, KnitTech made tater salad and they were both a big hit. As backup we also made some seriously good beer dogs.
Babybird started off not being happy since she was stuck in the truck.
DustyTomes getting ready to send some up.
Perky and crew setting up a "special" display.
Friday prior to all this HavoK went to the vet to get "tutored". He was a dejected little guy.
Rest assured he is back to his hyper self now.
