Busy Weekend

KnitTech arranged for Kat to come over while I was at Fandemonium and help haul some "junk" off to the dump. Through a mis-communication she didn't bring enough muscle along with her so it had to be delayed. This weekend Dusty and his gang showed up shortly after I finished mowing (well I didn't get one side done but that was due to the fact that the neighbors were irrigating and had flooded it. I didn't think an electric mower and water would be a good combo). We started loading and cleaning the garage. 1 load went to the dump and 1 load went to their house. It definitely helped in the garage as KnitTech now has more room for her car. Alas it wasn't enough to give me space for mine so it'll be another winter with the truck outside. The back storage room office is much closer to being usable. Soon we'll be getting rid of some desks and a dresser making even more space.

2 years ago I bought a table for my "game room" (now Perky/Kommandants room). It was moved to the office and promptly buried. KnitTech has wanted a smaller kitchen table for quite some time so we were watching for one. During the "cleansing" the game table was uncovered and she looked at me and pointed out that since the game table has a leaf and could be expanded when needed it would be perfect for the kitchen. Guess what next weeks project is going to be?

Sunday morning I finished the little bit of mowing that was left (side was now dry), we went shopping, and then I made another batch of beer. It seems that the yeast I purchased a year ago didn't survive storage in the fridge. So tonight I ran to the local brew store and picked up some more. Hopefully this blackberry lambic will turn out good. Won't really know for about 6 months. Next up another 10 gallons of Mead..

September 5th will be another big event. The tree that we hate will be gone from in front of the house..
